About Chiltern Academy
The Chiltern Academy School of Performing Arts has been running classes in Prestwood since 1975. Our continued success is not only down to the excellent teaching faculty but also the warm friendly atmosphere created where every student is made to feel an important part of the Chiltern Academy family.
Classes are offered to students from 2 years to adult.
Students are prepared for examinations, competitions, theatre productions and entry into vocational performance colleges.
Over 50 classes are delivered each week by a strong, dedicated team of fully qualified staff each imparting their knowledge and passion for their craft onto the students.
What started as a local village dance school, offering Ballet classes one afternoon a week, has since become one of Buckinghamshire’s most prestigious performing arts schools with students travelling from Berkshire, Hertfordshire and even Oxfordshire to attend their renowned classes. Numerous students go on to vocational colleges and establish successful careers within the dance world.
In addition to regular examinations students are given numerous performance opportunities throughout the year including productions at the Wycombe Swan, Aylesbury Waterside, Milton Keynes Theatre, The Elgiva,The O2 arena and The Shaftesbury Theatre.
